Traveling is Nice

Traveling is a very popular activity among modern people. It is a good way of exploring the world, exploring new places. People like to learn something new and travelling helps them in this purpose. But earlier people couldn't travel as much as they want, because they were limited, there wasn't any possibility for travelling. There weren't trains, planes, cars and others transport facilities.

Today technical progress helps people to open new lands and let people travel freely. Nowadays in a very short time you can get any corner on the earth. It is very useful to visit new places and meet new people. People can choose any place on the world they want and go there for the weekend or on vacation. And besides, travelling is the excellent way of learning foreign languages.

When I was a child my family had a trip every year. Summer was our favorite season; we waited it impatiently, because every summer we went to vacation and every year to a new place. Usually we travelled by car. It was a traditional way of travelling for our family. But that year my father was disqualified from driving for twelve months. We couldn't travel by sea, because my mother has a seasick and we couldn't travel by train, because my father hates trains. We didn't want to renounce from our summer trip and we had to go to vacation by air. It was my first time when I saw these big and heavy "birds" - airplanes. That time we went to the city called Manhattan Beach, it is not far from Newport Coast. There lived our relatives from father's side. We spent wonderful time swimming in the Pacific Ocean and breathing the ocean breeze. I gave a promise to myself that one day I would return to California.
